I hate pain. It’s miserable. I want you out of it as fast as humanly possible.
For me, step one is to get you out of pain you might be experiencing. Is part of your body screaming for attention? Let’s answer that call. Step two is delving into why that happened and what we might do to prevent it in the future.
You don’t HAVE a human body. You ARE a human body. Your brain doesn’t exist in a vacuum. The mind and the body are not just connected, they are inextricably interwoven. Mental health affects the body and vice versa. My goal is for you to feel that in your bones. I want your body to be integrated in a way that gives you joy and power in this life. Acupuncture helps to balance mood, anxiety and stress while also addressing things that are both cause and effect like fatigue, pain, sleeping problems and digestive upset.
I come from a bodywork background and though Chinese Medicine can treat a multitude of symptoms, my first love is pain relief. I learned Trigger Point Therapy in 2013 when I became an Advanced Neuromuscular Massage Therapist and Health Educator at National Holistic Institute in Studio City, CA. I’ve been helping people with deep aching pain and conditions like Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Plantar Fasciitis and Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction Disorder ever since.
That was not enough for me. I wanted to be more effective in less time. So I became a Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine at Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, NC. Now I combine my knowledge of Trigger Point Therapy and Chinese Medicine, especially Electroacupuncture (def using low level electric stimulation on needles to raise the effectiveness of the treatment) to treat pain with speed and efficiency while delving into the patterns that created the problem in the first place.
